Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sanitation/Warehouse associate in Glen Allen, VA, for a Tue-Sat 7am–3:30pm shift. The role emphasizes maintaining a clean, safe warehouse and performing sanitation duties in dry, cooler, and freezer areas. Must pass background checks and a post-offer drug test.

Responsibilities include cleaning, reporting hazards, handling chemicals per hazmat guidelines, and completing required safety training. Prior experience in sanitation or janitorial work is required.

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Mansioni

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties as assigned including but not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned Pure Safety training modules.
• May require operation of pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to appropriate receptacles.
• Completes all assignments and timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose:

We value the safety and health of our associates! The Sanitation, Warehouse ensures the health and safety of all our associates by always maintaining a clean and safe workplace.

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent

6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience

Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Compensation

$18.00 /hr
