Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Glen Allen, VA is seeking a sanitation associate to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment. The role covers janitorial tasks across dry, cooler, and freezer areas, with potential office-area cleaning as needed.

The position schedules Monday–Friday, 12pm–8:30pm, and requires a high school diploma or GED with at least 6 months of sanitation/cleaning experience. Drug test and background check are required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months general sanitation, cleaning and/or janitorial work experience.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check

Responsibilities

• Completes all work according to company health and safety policies and guidelines.
• Reports all unsafe conditions or unsafe acts immediately to ensure safety of all associates.
• Performs cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash pickup and related janitorial tasks.
• Handles all cleaning chemicals as directed in hazmat material sheets.
• Timely and accurate completion of all assigned training modules.
• May operate a pallet jack to transport refuse/trash to receptacles.
• Completes all assignments timely and accurately.
• May be required to work with cleaning chemicals.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Purpose

The Sanitation, Warehouse performs general janitorial, cleaning, and sanitation related job tasks in warehouse facility, including dry, cooler and freezer areas. May perform similar duties in office areas as assigned.
