Job summary

International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF) seeks a dedicated sanitation specialist for our Saint Joseph, Missouri on-site facility. The role focuses on maintaining clean production areas and equipment to support safe, efficient operations in a food ingredients environment.

You will perform daily sanitation per the Master Sanitation Schedule, safely handle cleaning chemicals, and contribute to continuous improvement in cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in manufacturing or production helps.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sanitation activities according to the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Clean production areas, equipment, and facility surfaces following established procedures.
• Assist with cleaning production equipment after manufacturing runs to support operational readiness.
• Operate COP systems to properly clean and sanitize equipment components.
• Clean and sanitize drums using designated drum washing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas, employee facilities, and office spaces.
• Clean and maintain facility drains to help prevent microbial growth and ensure sanitation compliance.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
