Job summary

IFF in Saint Joseph, MO is seeking a dedicated sanitation team member for an on-site role within the Food Ingredients unit. You will participate in daily cleaning of production areas, equipment, and surfaces to maintain safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include COP cleaning, drum washing, and supporting continuous improvement in sanitation and efficiency while adhering to safety guidelines and PPE requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Ability to perform physical cleaning tasks for extended periods.

• Clean production areas, equipment, and facility surfaces following established procedures.
• Assist with cleaning production equipment after manufacturing runs to support operational readiness.
• Operate Clean-Out-of-Place (COP) systems to properly clean and sanitize equipment components.
• Clean and sanitize drums using designated drum washing equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of production areas, employee facilities, and office spaces.
• Clean and maintain facility drains to help prevent microbial growth and ensure sanitation compliance.
• Safely handle cleaning chemicals while following all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to workplace cleanliness, safety, and efficiency.
