Job summary

Select Milk Producers is seeking a Sanitation Associate to support plant sanitation across the facility. You will work with operations to uphold food safety, follow MSS, and participate in audits and sanitation initiatives.

Responsibilities include cleaning walls, ceilings, floors, assisting with equipment cleaning, pest-control support, GMP audits, and wastewater sampling as directed, with emphasis on safety and effective sanitation practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and audits.
• Willingness to participate in sanitation and food safety training.
• Able to operate sanitation equipment after training.

Responsibilities

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Clean and maintain walls, ceilings, floors, pipes and fixtures.
• Assist in cleaning processing equipment.
• Help with Pest Control program by alerting Pest Control Service of sightings.
• Assist in GMP / Sanitation Audits.
• Learn usage and application of cleaning compounds and sanitizers to ensure chemical management compliance.
• Participate in training related to Sanitation and Food Safety.
• Assist in maintaining sanitation requirements and related training.
• Perform wastewater sampling and analysis as directed by Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:

Support the plant sanitation activities in all areas of the facility. This role will be involved in all aspects of sanitation and food safety, including but not limited to audits, HACCP program execution, sanitation, and working with operations personnel on sanitation issues. Work with production to coordinate and track food safety/plant initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
• Clean and maintain all walls, ceilings, floors, pipes and miscellaneous fixtures as required.
• Assist in the cleaning of all processing equipment.
• Help with the Pest Control program by alerting Pest Control Service of any sightings.
• Assist in GMP / Sanitation Audits.
• Learn the usage and application of different cleaning compounds and sanitizers utilized at the plant to ensure chemical management program is in compliance.
• Participate in training related to Sanitation and Food Safety.
• Solid working knowledge of operations and corresponding systems.
• Assist in the maintenance of sanitation requirements and related training.
• Perform wastewater sampling and analysis as directed by Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• A High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
