Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning in building common areas (vacuuming, mopping, restrooms, restocking supplies).
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, break rooms, office spaces and other areas.
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies; reports needs to staff.
• Locks/unlocks doors and ensures areas are secure after cleaning.
• Assists in safety inspections and supports continuous improvement.
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by supervisor.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the building, including vacuuming, mopping, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and break room areas, including office spaces, and other common areas.
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing company houses as needed.
• Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies.
• Empties trash receptacles, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal.
• Unlock doors, ensuring doors are locked after cleaning areas.
• Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Assists in on-the-job training of new staff on routine procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
• May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and may answer basic questions. May report issues with vendors to supervisor.
• May assist or perform snow removal activities and minor maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, unclogging pipes, or other similar activities.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Maintains a neat and orderly janitor’s room; ensures cleaning and maintenance supplies are stocked.
• Assists in examining the facility for safety hazards, reports deficiencies to supervisor and or Safety Supervisor.
• Support a company culture of continuous improvement by participating in efficiency and improvement efforts.
• Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
