Job summary

Cargill, Inc Akron, Ohio is seeking a Sanitation Operator to perform detailed cleaning and sanitation across designated plant areas. You will maintain sanitation records and sign off on the master sanitation schedule while adhering to safety and quality standards.

The role requires forklift operation, ability to work in elevated areas, and effective communication in English. Overtime and varied indoor/outdoor conditions are part of the job with PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; prior production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Detail cleaning of all assigned plant areas and sanitation records.
• Ability to operate forklift and work on elevated platforms.
• Must be able to understand and communicate in English; PPE usage as required.

Responsibilities

• Detail clean all assigned area of the plant.
• Record and maintain sanitation records and sign off on the master sanitation schedule.
• Work safely with cleaning chemicals used at the plant.
• Use bio-mist unit to sanitize areas of the plant.
• Make suggestions for continuous improvement in the plant.
• Follow all quality requirements to avoid contamination while cleaning.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and work on the man lift at times.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
