Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Food Handler in Mason City, IA to join our Food Enterprise. The role involves handling meat products, trimming and packing to meet specifications, and maintaining food safety standards in a fast-paced facility.

Night shift runs from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with overtime and weekend work as required. Eligible applicants must be 18+, able to work in the United States, and have relevant food production experience.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing, production, or warehouse environments.
• Knife handling skills or experience working with cutting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized processes.
• Work history in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Handle, lift, and process meat products by trimming, cutting, or removing fat, defects, or contamination using knives or other tools.
• Support production by performing routine, repetitive tasks that keep operations running smoothly.
• Weigh, label, bag, pack, and box finished products to meet customer and quality specifications.
• Perform job duties in a fast-paced, cold, or warm production setting with required PPE while engaging in physical tasks such as standing for long periods of time, climbing, bending, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance and product integrity.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
