Job summary

Lakeside Foods Inc. is seeking a Sanitation team member in Owatonna, Minnesota. The role focuses on maintaining safety, GMPs, and cleanliness within a fast-paced production environment. You will perform pre-ops sanitation tasks and assist with cleaning and equipment prep.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma or GED, and bilingual ability is a plus. We offer on-the-job training and a supportive team atmosphere with a strong emphasis on safety and company values.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual preferred (Spanish) but not required.
• Willingness to participate in Safety standards and continual improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety procedures are observed.
• Incorporate good manufacturing practices established at the location.
• Performs and fills out the pre-ops sanitation forms each day.
• Must be able to fill in or assist in cleaning when needed.
• Assist in filling and starting of equipment after cleanup is performed.
• Ability to use a pressure hose for sanitation functions.
• Ability to work as a team and do various tasks as directed by the manager.
• Ensure the area is clean and in compliance with established standards.
• Must have knowledge of MSDS Sheets and labels for small containers.
• Performs other duties as assigned by manager.
• Adhere to Lakeside Foods policies and procedures.
• Notify manager immediately if any unsafe or potentially hazardous conditions are discovered.

What You’ll Bring:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Bilingual preferred, not required. (Spanish)
