Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a sanitation worker for the 3rd shift to follow SSOPs and clean production equipment to ensure safety and hygiene. You may record sanitation activities and report progress to supervisors.

The role requires familiarity with COP/CIP systems, basic English, and willingness to work weekends. Prior sanitation in a food production environment is valued; multi-level facilities may require stairs and being on a third shift schedule.

Qualifications

• Must speak, read and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred; six months sanitation production experience preferred.
• Some Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Follows procedures to clean and sanitize idle production equipment.
• Completes required reporting reflecting activity.
• Advises supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
• Familiar with testing chemical concentrations.
• Familiar with COP and CIP systems.
• Familiarity with refractometers is a plus.

Job Summary

• Follows procedures and SSOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor/manager of progress and or other non-routine issues.

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in basic English; Spanish is a plus.

Education And/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
• Supervisory skills are desired.
• Must have some Microsoft Office skills.

Work Environment

• The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Multi-shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated environment, ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.
