Job summary

JBS Foods in Omaha is seeking a Sanitation Hourly-3rd shift to keep production areas clean and sanitary, ensuring compliance with safety and GMP standards.

You will complete mandatory safety training and food safety/GMP training, stand for long periods, work in extreme temperatures, and operate in a fast-paced environment with routine hand scrubbing and hose work.

Qualifications

• Experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop for extended periods.
• Must work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive hand scrubbing and hose operations.
• Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and PPE.

Reporting to: Sanitation Supervisor

Essential Job Functions

Cleaning and sanitizing production areas

Complete mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment.

Complete mandatory food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment.

Experience/Skills/Abilities

• Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.


• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, crawl for extended periods of time


• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.


• Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose.


• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.


• Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment.
