Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a Sanitation worker for the Pork division on 3rd shift. The role focuses on maintaining clean and sanitary facilities, equipment, and work areas in a high-speed production environment.

Responsibilities include operating and sanitizing machinery, using proper PPE, and adhering to food safety standards. The position is full-time with on-site duties in Ottumwa, IA.

• Properly maintain and sanitize facilities (casings) machinery and equipment for efficient production.
• Operate heavy equipment.
• Must use proper personal protective equipment effectively.
• Expected to work hands on at high speed and times to lift over 50 pounds.
• Must keep work areas clean and follow proper food safety protocols.
• Must adher(e) to JBS specifications in product to ensure quality of meat.
• Stay aware of your surroundings and notify a supervisor if you recognize a hazard.
• Perform various cleaning and sanitation tasks with little supervision including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways, etc.
• Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.
