George’s is seeking a Sanitation team member to ensure cleaning and sanitizing of processing equipment and areas within their area of responsibility. The role involves handling cleaning detergents in a wet environment, with potential hot or cold conditions.

Qualifications

• 1 year of Sanitation and/or Processing experience required.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and detergents in a wet environment.
• Comfort working in hot or cold conditions and fast-paced shift environments.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sanitation of assigned area during cleaning.
• Use chemicals and cleaners per prescribed processes and procedures.
• Operate high pressure water hoses and hot water to clean equipment.
• Maneuver around and on top of equipment to reach cleaning areas.
• Work quickly to meet tight deadlines and ensure shift startup is on time.
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out procedures and use Fall Protection when required.

SUMMARY

SUMMARY: The Sanitation team member is responsible for ensuring that the cleaning and sanitizing all processing equipment and processing areas within their area of responsibility. The position requires working around cleaning detergents and chemicals in a wet environment and could be either hot or cold. The position is fast paced, on a tight deadline and requires attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Responsible for assigned area while sanitation is being accomplished
• Utilize chemicals and cleaners to sanitize the equipment in accordance with prescribed processes and procedures.
• Utilize high pressure water hoses and hot water along with hand scrubbers or brushers to clean equipment.
• Maneuver in, around, and on top of equipment to reach areas needing to be cleaned.
• Work quickly and efficiently to meet tight deadlines to ensure shift startup is not delayed.
• Responsible for safety, making sure Lock Out Tag Out procedures and Fall Protection equipment are utilized when appropriate.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will/will not have supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Required 1 year of Sanitation and/or Processing experience
