Job summary

J.P. Mascaro & Sons is seeking reliable Sanitation Workers/Driver's Helpers for the Lehigh Valley Division in Allentown, PA. The role involves riding the back of a trash truck, assisting the driver, and collecting curbside waste and recycling in a safe, efficient manner.

We value punctuality, ability to work outdoors in any weather, and a willingness to ride the rear truck step as required. A High School Diploma and a valid driver's license are preferred and required respectively.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Valid, active Driver's License required.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather.
• Must be able to ride on the rear step of the truck while in motion.

Responsibilities

• Show up for work on time with proper PPE.
• Assist the driver to safely navigate the truck and back up.
• Communicate with the driver using hand signals and stay in view.
• Collect curbside waste and/or recycling safely and efficiently.
• Refer customer questions to the route supervisor.
• Assist with vehicle inspections and keeping the truck clean.
