Job summary

Charlie's Produce in Clackamas is seeking reliable Sanitation Associates for an overnight shift from 8:00pm to 4:30am, Sunday through Thursday. You will perform general housekeeping, clean equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and warehouse areas, support recycling, waste disposal, and follow strict food safety standards.

This position involves forklifts and pest-prevention support, requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in refrigerated environments, and operate safely in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to read/write/speak English.
• Ability to work in refrigerated environment (33–36°F).

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping: sweep, mop, debris removal, and cleaning of equipment.
• Scheduled cleaning of restrooms, breakrooms, and warehouse areas; waste disposal and recycling support.
• Support pest control prevention and operation of equipment such as forklifts.
• Complete daily SQF inspection logs and follow SOPs for food safety.

Please note this is an overnight shift starting at 8:00pm. Swing shift employees are compensated with an additional $1.00 differential added to their hourly rate.

You’ll also support recycling efforts, manage waste disposal, and follow strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Work Schedule

• Schedule:8pm - 4:30am, Sunday - Thursday.

The Role

Sanitation Associates are responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with company standards and food safety requirements. This role includes general housekeeping such as sweeping, mopping, and debris removal, as well as scheduled cleaning of equipment, restrooms, breakrooms, and other facility areas. Sanitation Associates also support recycling efforts, assist with pest control prevention, and operation of equipment such as forklifts to manage waste. All work must be completed in compliance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and food safety guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

• General housekeeping includingsweeping floors, cleaning up debris around the warehouse.
• Cleaning up standing water, breaking down boxes and recycle.
• Scheduled cleaning of freezer, restrooms and lunchroom.
• Useforklift to empty garbage and check for pest control issues.
• Responsible for the completion of the daily SQF inspection log.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate issues.
• We will train new hires on equipment, including electric pallet jack and forklift.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ( 33 to 36 degrees F)
• Ability to work safely and professionally in a fast paced environment with frequent heavy equipment and pedestrian traffic

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 1-year previous janitorial experience preferred
