Job summary

Charlie's Produce is seeking a Sanitation Associate to keep our warehouse clean and orderly. You will perform light and heavy cleaning tasks, operate equipment, and support receiving as needed.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and operate cleaning equipment.
• Experience with pressure washers.
• Able to work at heights using a scissor lift.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Able to work in 33–36°F refrigerated environment.
• Work safely in a fast-paced environment with heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• General housekeeping including sweeping floors and debris cleanup in the warehouse.
• Clean up standing water, break down boxes and manage recycling.
• Scheduled cleaning of freezer, restrooms and lunchroom.
• Operate forklift to empty garbage and assist with pest control checks.
• Complete daily SQF inspection log and follow management directions.

Job Description

Shifts:

Day Shift: 5AM - 1:30PM

Night Shift: 4PM - 12:30AM

Days off would be set weekly once training is complete

The Role:

Sanitation Associates are responsible for warehouse cleanup work, keeping buildings/warehouse in clean and orderly condition through various methods performing both light and heavy cleaning tasks such as sweeping, waste collection and removal, floor cleaning, and various surface cleaning duties, common areas such as locker rooms, restrooms, break rooms etc. The job tasks take place in both warehouse coolers and outside elements using heavy equipment. Also assisting the receiving dept as needed and other tasks assigned.

We will train new hires on equipment to include electric pallet jack and fork lift. Must be able to give direction to the group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include, but Are Not Limited To:

• General housekeeping including but not limited to sweeping floors, cleaning up debris around the warehouse.

• Scheduled cleaning of freezer, restrooms and lunchroom
• using a forklift to empty garbage and check for pest control issues.
• Responsible for the completion of the daily SQF inspection log.
• Must be able to work independently and communicate issues.
• We will train new hires on equipment to include electric pallet jack and forklift
• All other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to use a pressure washer
• Ability to work in tall heights while in a scissor lift
• Ability to read/write/speak English
• Ability to work in a refrigerated environment ( 33 to 36 degrees F)
• Ability to work safely and professionally in a fast paced environment with frequent heavy equipment and pedestrian traffic

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 1-year previous janitorial experience preferred
