Job summary

Crown Bakeries is seeking a Sanitation Associate to maintain cleanliness and a food-safe environment across the processing facility, surrounding area and equipment. The role focuses on daily sanitation of all processing lines in alignment with the company’s Vision, Mission and Values.

Responsibilities include upholding GMP/HACCP procedures, safety, and proper PPE usage, while maintaining supply of cleaning chemicals and participating in training sessions.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Flexible with work schedule, including weekends/holidays.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Manual dexterity and ability to lift/move up to 50–100 lb with assistance.
• Work in a noisy environment and wear PPE as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily sanitation of processing lines and facility.
• Maintain cleanliness and food-safety practices per GMP/HACCP.
• Ensure safe work environment and pest control compliance.
• Maintain cleaning chemicals stock following OSHA and FDA regulations.
• Follow safety rules, participate in training, and communicate with supervisors.

JOB SUMMARY:The Sanitation Associate is responsible for all activities involved in maintaining the cleanliness and food safe environment of the Processing facility, surrounding area and equipment. The primary purpose of this job is to perform daily sanitation of all processing lines. Receives direction concerning sanitation activities all in conjunction with the company's Vision, Mission and Values.RESPONSIBILITIES:Promotes a safe work environment through knowledge of the sanitation program and commitment to a safe workplace for all.Ensures safety is a priority in day to day functions.Ensures food safety and food defense in the plant.Implements all GMP and HACCP procedures that relate to cleanliness, food safety and pest control with the facility.Maintains a supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for the operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with OSHA and FDA regulations.Knowledgeable in best practices and safety, understanding SDS information, and the proper use of personal protective equipment. Safety Glasses or Goggles, Chemical Safety gloves, aprons, suits. Rubber boots. Safety helmet, hairnet and uniform is required to be worn daily.(LOTO) refers to Lock out or Tag out of energy of the equipment before cleaning.Able to perform duties at various heights.Follows and complies with all Good Manufacturing Practices.Communicates effectively with supervisors, co-workers and other departments.Proficient at routine preventative maintenance as well as changeovers.Follows all safety rules, policies, procedures, and regulationsAttends all company training sessions and team meetingsPerforms other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Have received a High School Diploma or EquivalentMust be flexible with schedule, including start times and weekend work (Holidays)Must be able to work in a team environment and work independentlyManual and finger dexterity.Work in a noisy environment for length of shift.
