Summary/ObjectiveThis is for the Sanitation PositionThe Sanitation Member is responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the bakery and its manufacturing equipment. It is important that a level of cleanliness, food safety, and EHS Compliance is maintained at all times.Essential FunctionsCollect, gather, and organize equipment and utensils from the previous work day and stage them for cleaning.Utilize sanitation equipment to clean racks, boards, crates, and utensils.Utilize various chemicals and sanitizers to perform cleaning tasks on walls, surfaces, equipment, and machinery.Fill, mix, and maintain chemical formulas to ensure chemicals remain effective and controlled at safe levels.Sweep and mop floor space around the facility.Complete documentation of finished tasks.Provide timely feedback on issues or concerns found during sanitation procedures.Partner with team members to meet and exceed sanitation expectations.Perform sanitation and deep-cleaning duties at elevated heights, including cleaning the tops of ovens, production equipment, and other elevated surfaces using approved ladders, platforms, and required fall-protection equipment, including harnesses and overhead fall-arrest systems.CompetenciesUnderstand chemical symbols and warning labelsTime managementWritten Communication SkillsOral Communication Skills (English or Spanish)OrganizationWork EnvironmentThis job operates in a warehouse and manufacturing facility. The role routinely uses standard sanitation equipment such as mops, brooms, buckets, towels, janitor carts, floor scrubber, and pallet jacks.Physical DemandsThe physical demands consist of significant walking, pushing of carts, lift and moving of trays, removal of debris from niche cleaning locations, and be willing to work in a hot humid environment. Cleaning is expected to be done using typical procedures commonly found in the industry.Must be able to safely climb and work from ladders, platforms, and other approved elevated work surfaces, including the tops of ovens and production equipment, while properly using required fall-protection equipment, including harnesses and overhead fall-arrest systems.Position Type and Expected Hours of WorkThis is a non-exempt, full-time position. Work on holidays and weekends will be required. Days and hours of work are to be determined on a case by case basis, but should reflect closely to 5AM-2PM.
