Job summary

Pet Food Experts is seeking a Facilities & Sanitation Associate to perform routine cleaning and maintenance across the facility, including trash removal, floor care, pallet handling, and pest-control support. You will follow the Master Cleaning Schedule, log tasks, and uphold GMP guidelines.

The position requires reading and writing English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift 30-40 lbs. Shift is 2:00pm–10:30pm with $1 differential; benefits and overtime offered.

Qualifications

• Must read/write English and have good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and time management with ability to multi-task.
• High School education or equivalent required.
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, ride-on pallet jack) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine facility cleaning and maintenance per schedule.
• Trash collection, sweeping, floor washing, and pallet handling.
• Restroom cleaning, equipment charging, and pest-control support.
• Complete cleaning logs and equipment checklists.

What You'll Do:

The Facilities & Sanitation Associate is responsible for performing routine scheduled facility cleaning and maintenance, including but not limited to: trash collection, sweeping, dusting, washing floors/dump bin/shelves/barrels/balers, restroom cleaning, charging equipment, loading and sorting pallets, baling cardboard and assisting with pest control programs.

• Maintain the facility by supporting each department with sanitation and cleanliness needs
• Perform duties on the Master Cleaning Schedule for daily, monthly, annual and “as needed” tasks
• Adhere to food safety and quality assurance policies and procedures
• Complete cleaning schedule logs and equipment checklists
• Perform minor repairs to some equipment, as well as light warehouse maintenance
• Receive and perform additional cleaning/leveling assignments as necessary
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations including GMP guidelines
• Lifts 30-40 lbs frequently

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

• Candidate must have the ability to read, write and understand English
• Good communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and good time-management with the ability to multi-task and follow up
• Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
• Some working knowledge of GMPs, food defense, pest control and food safety preferred
• Candidate must have reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude
• High School Education or equivalent
• Experience operating warehouse equipment (forklift, ride-on pallet jack), preferred
• Food industry and audit experience a plus

Compensation: $18.78/hour

Schedule: 2:00pm- 10:30pm($1.00 dollar added for Differential)
