Job summary

Pet Food Experts is seeking an Inventory Control Associate in Fontana, CA to maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and quality control verification. You will read work orders, review incoming product data, slot items, and manage min/max pick levels based on velocity.

This role requires strong English reading/writing, excellent communication, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team. Infor experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Read, write and understand English, including numbers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Independent problem solving and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient computer skills; familiarity with business software.
• Experience with Infor is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory reporting through cycle counts and quality control verification.
• Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for tasks.
• Review spreadsheets to locate incoming products for the facility.
• Slot items and maintain correct min/max pick amounts by product velocity.
• Assist with quality control issues including outdated products and defects.
• Prepare products for distribution for close-out based on reports.
• Follow safety procedures and GMP guidelines; maintain reliable attendance.

What You'll Do:

The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for maintaining accurate reporting of inventory through cycle counts and quality control verification.

• Read work orders and receive verbal instructions for work assignments
• Review spreadsheets to locate new products that will be arriving in the facility
• Slot items and maintain correct minimum and maximum pick amounts based on the type and velocity of the product
• Assist departments with quality control issues including: out-of-date product, new minimum and maximum pick amounts and products affected by manufacturer defects
• Prepare product to be distributed for close-out based on specific reports
• Perform functions, accountabilities and supporting activities while complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations including GMP guidelines
• Candidate must have reliable transportation, flexible schedule, solid attendance and a positive, professional attitude

• Excellent verbal and written communication and follow up skills
• Extraordinary attention to detail and good time-management
• Independent problem solving skills
• Work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment
• Proficient computer skills, Google preferred
• Experience with Infor, preferred

Requirements

Starting Pay: $19.50-$21.50 per hour DOE

Schedule: Tuesday- Friday: 5:00am- 3:30pm
