Job summary

Remington Hotels is seeking a dedicated kitchen helper to maintain dishwashing operations and support the kitchen team in a fast-paced hotel environment. You will wash glasses, dishes, and pots, and ensure the area remains clean and organized throughout the shift.

The role requires a strong work ethic, ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and a collaborative attitude to provide exceptional guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Operate dish machine following established guidelines and keep glasses and dishes clean.
• Wash pots and pans in the designated area.
• Maintain a clean kitchen by sweeping, mopping, and handling spills promptly.
• Empty, sanitize, and replace trash bags in cans after each use.
• Follow MSDS and safety guidelines at all times.
• Assist with plating for banquet events and other duties as assigned.

Job description

What you will be doing

• Use established guidelines to correctively utilize and maintain dish machine. Wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack.
• Wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area.
• Ensure that all cleaning is performed that is required to keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times; this includes sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping up any spills.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans. Make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use. Place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning.
• Follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols, as well as Safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties in other areas of Kitchen as assigned, including assisting with plating banquet events when needed.

Physical Requirements (In-Office Role)

• Ability to work in a standard office environment.
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. (6-8 hours a day)
• Occasional standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
• Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
• Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
• Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
