Job summary

Remington Hospitality in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a dedicated kitchen assistant to support daily dishwashing, glassware washing, and pot washing in designated areas.

You will follow MSDS protocols, keep the kitchen neat, sweep and mop spills, empty and sanitize trash, and assist with banquet plating as needed. This on-site role requires attention to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Use established guidelines to correctly utilize and maintain dish machine.
• Wash glasses and dishes in standard dish rack.
• Wash pots and pans only in the pot washer's area.
• Keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times; sweep up broken glass/dishes and mop spills.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans; spray and sanitize after each use and replace bags.
• Follow all MSDS protocols and safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties in the Kitchen, including assisting with banquet plating when needed.

• Ensure that all cleaning is performed that is required to keep the kitchen neat and clean at all times; this includes sweeping up broken glass/dishes and mopping up any spills.
• Empty full and heavy trash cans. Make sure they are sprayed and sanitized after each use. Place new trash bags in the container after each cleaning.
• Follow all MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) protocols, as well as Safety guidelines.
• Perform other duties in other areas of Kitchen as assigned, including assisting with plating banquet events when needed.
