Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Sanitation Teammate in the United States (Virginia/Manassas area). The role blends sanitation duties with warehouse tasks in a hybrid setup, with a pay rate of $20.25 per hour and full-time hours.

Responsibilities include cleaning across offices, DC, and transportation zones, sanitizing restrooms, managing waste, and assisting with the loading and moving of goods. Benefits start after 60 days, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) plans.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job tasks safely.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in offices, break rooms, DC and Transportation areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, wipe surfaces and replenish supplies.
• Sweep/mop floors and empty trash in break rooms, entrances and locker areas.
• Sweep/mop in DC/Transportation areas, clean dock plates, racks and pallets.
• Perform painting inside and outside the facility.

• Pay Rate: $20.25 per hour.
• Sunday - Thursday (3:00PM - 11:30pm)
• Hybrid position to include Warehouse Specialist duties along with Sanitation
• Including but not limited to selecting product and loading trucks, moving product between the loading dock and the warehouse and moving product within the warehouse. May work in various areas of the warehouse such as Dry, Refrigerated, Perishables, Freezer, and others.

What You\'ll Do As a Sanitation Teammate

• Maintain a clean work environment in the offices, break rooms, DC, and Transportation areas.
• Offices: vacuum and/or mop floors, empty trash cans, wipe surfaces, clean windows /walls, etc.
• Restrooms: Clean & sanitize surfaces, empty trash, sweep/mop floors, replenish supplies, etc.
• Break rooms, entrances and locker areas: Wash windows, sweep/mop floors, empty trash, clean surfaces, replenish supplies, etc.
• DC / Transportation: Sweep/mop floors, empty trash, clean dock plates, clean racks and put away pallets.
• Division Grounds: Pick-up / empty trash, maintain walkways, cut grass, empty cigarette cans
• Painting inside and outside of the facility.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications You\'ll Bring As a Warehouse Teammate

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
