Job summary

McLane Company, Inc is seeking a Sanitation Teammate in Salt Lake City, UT. The role focuses on maintaining cleanliness across offices, break rooms, DC, and transportation areas to support safe, efficient operations.

You’ll perform a range of cleaning tasks, from vacuuming and mopping to sanitizing restrooms and surfaces. The position offers multiple shifts and a strong benefits package starting after 60 days.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English well enough to perform tasks safely and follow instructions.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in offices, break rooms, distribution center, and transportation areas.
• Clean offices: vacuum/mop floors, empty trash, wipe surfaces, clean windows/walls.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, restock supplies.
• Clean break rooms, entrances, locker areas, windows, floors, trash and surfaces.
• Sweep/mop floors in DC/Transportation areas, clean dock plates and racks, store pallets.
• Mow/care for outdoor areas, and perform painting inside/outside the facility.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll do as a Sanitation Teammate:

• Maintain a clean work environment in the offices, break rooms, DC, and Transportation areas.
• Offices: vacuum and/or mop floors, empty trash cans, wipe surfaces, clean windows /walls, etc.
• Restrooms: Clean & sanitize surfaces, empty trash, sweep/mop floors, replenish supplies, etc.
• Break rooms, entrances and locker areas: Wash windows, sweep/mop floors, empty trash, clean surfaces, replenish supplies, etc.
• DC / Transportation: Sweep/mop floors, empty trash, clean dock plates, clean racks and put away pallets.
• Division Grounds: Pick-up / empty trash, maintain walkways, cut grass, empty cigarette cans
• Painting inside and outside of the facility.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
