Job summary

Tasty Brands in Owensboro, KY is seeking a Sanitation Specialist for the 3rd shift. You will disassemble, clean and reassemble food packaging equipment following safety guidelines and allergen control procedures. You will also complete quality and food safety documentation and ensure compliance with program standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining a damp, cold environment safety, following LOTO and PPE protocols, and performing additional duties as assigned to support production teams.

Qualifications

• One year of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing plant.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be able to disassemble, clean, and reassemble food packaging equipment while following safety guidelines.
• Must follow the site Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) program, chemical safety training, and properly wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate.
• Adheres to the allergen control program guidelines including equipment cleaning and verification activities.
• Completes quality and food safety system documentation and verifies compliance to program standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stretch, climb, push, pull, lift up to 50 pounds and reach are required.
• Must have 1-year of sanitation experience in a food manufacturing plant.

This position works in a damp, cold environment with wet, slippery surfaces.
