Hours

• 2pm-10pm (Monday-Friday)
• 10pm-6am (Monday-Friday)
• 5pm-5am (2-2-3 Schedule)

Summary

Position exists to keep all areas in or adjacent too production, distribution, receiving and breakrooms/restrooms clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities

• Support Safety efforts and contribute to Safety Awareness on a daily basis. Report safety incidents in a timely manner.
• Actively participate in maintaining a “Food Safe” environment internally and for customers.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Guidelines.
• Perform detailed cleaning in or adjacent to production and warehousing areas per the Master Sanitation Schedule.
• Perform special sanitation projects sometimes with little prior notice.
• Support sanitation requirements for maintaining and supplying breakrooms/rest rooms, warehouse supply locations and other areas as assigned.
• Mix and provide sanitation chemicals for personnel assignments and to support needs in other departments.
• Transport trash and waste to disposal area. Maintain a constant vigil to pick up waste and debris. Clean up ingredient spills immediately.
• Perform sanitation in harsh environments and unusual physical demands, such as, outside dumpster cleaning.
• Maintain sections in the warehouse, including MSS tasks. This includes but is not limited to:
  • Dry mopping, wipe down exterior of electrical boxes, battery stations, fire extinguishers, sweep and mop 18” perimeter
  • Wet clean dock plate and wells
  • Dry clean and wet stairs in warehouse sections
  • Bio-hazard clean up, Clean drains and organize and wash rooms
  • Stock sanitation closets in breakrooms
  • Clean and fill shoe sanitizers
  • Interior compactor cleaning
  • Exterior trash pick-up and compactor cleaning
  • Cleaning top of production structures, top of HVAC units, air tubes, heaters and fans Participate in improvement projects to support Continuous Improvement and Sanitation Improvement efforts.
  • Support “Food Safety” efforts by reporting pest and debris issues to the Quality Department.
  • Regular use of the following equipment for sanitation purposes: Forklift, MPC, Raymond, aerial and/or scissors lift, walk behind/ride on scrubber.
  • Must be able to perform Sanitation I tasks.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education (GED).
• Prefer over 3 months up to and including 12 months of qualifying experience on related work
• Ability to read in English and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, including decimals and fractions.
