Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Mechanicsburg, PA is hiring for a Sanitation associate. The role supports cleanliness of the warehouse, break areas, bathrooms, and trailers, and requires basic custodial duties throughout the facility.

The position is Monday to Friday, 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) with a pay rate of $16.45/hour plus a $0.50 shift premium. Orientation in Mechanicsburg, PA is required. Candidates should have at least 6 months of related warehouse sanitation experience.

Qualifications

• Sanitation/janitorial experience in a warehouse or distribution setting is required.
• Ability to stand for long periods (up to 90% of the shift).
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Shift: 2nd shift

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 3:00PM- 11:00PM

-Pay: $16.45 + $.50 Shift Premium

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate needs the following: Logistics, Warehouse, Facilities, Sanitation Janitor, Custodian, Housekeeper

A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in the following:

• Sanitation, Custodian, or Janitor role within a Warehouse or Distribution environment is required.
• Job duties include general sanitation and custodial tasks within the facility warehouse, breakroom and bathrooms, breaking down cardboard boxes, and picking up trash from parking lot.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time. The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Candidates will be required to attend Orientation in Mechanicsburg, PA (Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Role Purpose

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around company facilities

Key Accountabilities

• Clean warehouse utilizing a variety of equipment and products.
• Remove all refuse from offices and building daily.
• Repair damaged pallets.
• Remove ice and snow from walkways and parking lots.
• Wash and sweep inside of trailers.
• Clean break room and work areas.
• Maintain exterior property, keeping it clean and orderly.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program with the first 30 days of employment
• 0-6 months general warehouse experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
