Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Manteno, IL is hiring for a Sanitation role. Shift is M-TH 6a-4p with a pay rate of $18.50 per hour. The position requires sanitation experience in a warehouse setting and the ability to stand for up to 90% of the shift.

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate needs the following:

A minimum of six (6) months’ experience in the following:

• Sanitation, Custodian, or Janitor role within a Warehouse or Distribution environment is highly desired.
• Job duties include general sanitation and custodial tasks within the facility warehouse, breakroom and bathrooms, breaking down cardboard boxes, and picking up trash from parking lot.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time.? The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50pounds throughout the shift.

Role Purpose

Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around company facilities

Key Accountabilities

• Clean warehouse utilizing a variety of equipment and products.
• Remove all refuse from offices and building daily.
• Repair damaged pallets.
• Remove ice and snow from walkways and parking lots.
• Wash and sweep inside of trailers.
• Clean break room and work areas.
• Maintain exterior property, keeping it clean and orderly.

Required Education and Experience

• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program with the first 30 days of employment
• 0-6 months general warehouse experience
• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
