Job summary

JBS USA is seeking a sanitation associate to clean and sanitize production areas in a meat processing facility. You will perform hands-on cleaning tasks, lift heavy items, and complete required safety and GMP trainings to ensure a safe, compliant operation.

Candidates should be able to work in extreme temperatures, move quickly in a fast-paced environment, and handle chemicals with proper PPE. The role emphasizes consistent attendance and adherence to safety protocols in a production setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, bend, or crawl for extended periods.
• Able to work in extreme temperatures with moving machinery, hot water, and slippery floors.
• Fast-paced environment with repetitive scrubbing and hose work.
• Able to work with multiple chemicals with required training and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize production areas as part of daily routines.
• Complete mandatory safety training and food safety/GMP training.
• Work hands-on at high speed and lift items over 50 pounds.
• Perform cleaning tasks with minimal supervision, including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, and hallways.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing production areas
• Complete mandatory safety training as outlined for the job assignment.
• Complete mandatory food safety/GMP training as outlined for the job assignment.
• Expected to work hands on at high speed and times to lift over 50 pounds.
• Perform various cleaning and sanitation tasks with little supervision including scrubbing walls, floors, tables, hallways, etc.

Experience/Skills/Abilities

• Previous experience in a meat processing plant or similar manufacturing setting preferred.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend and/ or crawl for extended periods of time
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures with frequent exposure to moving machinery, hot water and slippery floors.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, with repetitive motion work in hand scrubbing and running a hose.
• Must be able to work with multiple chemicals with proper training and personal protective equipment.
