McLane Company, Inc. is hiring a Sanitation Teammate in Houston, TX. You will maintain cleanliness across offices, DC, and transportation areas, performing sanitation tasks such as cleaning floors, restrooms, and windows, and supporting overall facility upkeep.

The role emphasizes safety, attention to detail, and teamwork to keep the distribution center running smoothly in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• Reading, writing and understanding English at a functional level for safety and instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean work environment in offices, break rooms, DC and Transportation areas.
• Vacuum/mop floors, empty trash, wipe surfaces, clean windows/walls.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies.
• Wash windows, sweep/mop floors, empty trash in break rooms and entrances.
• Sweep/mop floors in DC/Transportation, clean dock plates, racks and pallets.
• Pick up/empty trash, maintain walkways, cut grass, empty cigarette cans.
• Paint inside/outside the facility.
• Other duties may be assigned.

What You’ll Do As a Sanitation Teammate

• Maintain a clean work environment in the offices, break rooms, DC, and Transportation areas.
• Offices: vacuum and/or mop floors, empty trash cans, wipe surfaces, clean windows /walls, etc.
• Restrooms: Clean & sanitize surfaces, empty trash, sweep/mop floors, replenish supplies, etc.
• Break rooms, entrances and locker areas: Wash windows, sweep/mop floors, empty trash, clean surfaces, replenish supplies, etc.
• DC / Transportation: Sweep/mop floors, empty trash, clean dock plates, clean racks and put away pallets.
• Division Grounds: Pick-up / empty trash, maintain walkways, cut grass, empty cigarette cans
• Painting inside and outside of the facility.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications You’ll Bring As a Warehouse Teammate

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Able to perform accurate visual inspections.
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
