Job summary
Production and Process Technologies Florida is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, implement, and commission automation solutions for sanitary food and beverage processes. You will lead PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, FAT/SAT testing, and on-site startup support in a regulated environment.
The role requires hands-on system integration with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell equipment, experience in CIP/SIP, and strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet FDA/USDA/FSMA standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 3 years of controls engineering in liquid food/beverage.
- Experience with CIP/SIP, pasteurization, batching, and automation.
- Experience in regulated environments (FDA, USDA, FSMA).
Responsibilities
- Program, integrate, and commission PLC-based control systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot HMI/SCADA systems (Ignition, FactoryTalk, Wonderware).
- Lead FAT/SAT testing for regulatory compliance.
- Provide on-site startup support and operator training.
- Design and deploy control architectures for sanitary processing.
- Configure industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, PLCs).
