Job summary

Live Well Homecare is seeking a Sexual Assault Nurse (Per-Diem) to support the Emergency Department, performing medical forensic exams, nursing assessments, specimen collection, and documentation. You will work with a healthcare team, law enforcement, and legal professionals while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role requires Illinois RN licensure, SANE certification, and preferably a BSN. Experience in forensic nursing is preferred; Epic software training may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Current Illinois RN licensure.
• Certified as a SANE through the Illinois Attorney General's Office or approved certification.
• Experience in forensic nursing is preferred.
• Computer literacy; training in Epic software may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic collection, STI management, and addressing vicarious trauma.
• Participate in peer review and maintaining standards per professional guidelines.
• Collaborating with emergency staff, law enforcement, and advocacy groups.
• Attending court proceedings related to cases.
