Sandy City’s Sandy Recreation Center - Parks and Recreation is seeking a part-time Youth Programs Organizer to supervise and run youth activities under the Recreation Coordinator's guidance.

The role focuses on organizing programs and supervising participants, promoting safe, engaging activities, and maintaining positive relationships with youth, families, and staff.

Evening or weekend hours may apply; open until filled with review starting Oct 13, 2026.

CLOSING DATE:

STARTING SALARY:

$13.42 - $21.47/Hour

STATUS:

Part-time (non-benefitted, less than 29 hours per week)

DEPARTMENT:

Sandy Recreation Center - Parks and Recreation

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in job related activities, including working with recreation, camps, or related programs preferred; must be at least 16 years of age. CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Knowledge of games, sports, recreation, activities, arts and crafts, storytelling and music; correct English usage, spelling and vocabulary. Great responsibility for the care, condition and use of materials, equipment, money, tools, etc. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with participants, employees, staff and the public; contacts requiring tact and judgment to avoid friction and obtain desired result; outside contact with public presenting information. English literacy skills to care for children and respond to emergencies. Regular use of a copy machine and telephone; occasional use of a personal computer. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
