Job summary

Allen Industries Inc. is seeking a dedicated Sander in Mount Airy, NC to prep signs, cabinets, and faces for painting by sanding and finishing surfaces. You will ensure quality and maintain efficient production flow in a hands-on role.

The successful candidate will have experience with hand/power tools, a strong eye for detail, and reliable attendance to support our growing manufacturing team in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, construction, body shop, or paint prep preferred.
• Ability to follow drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.

Responsibilities

• Prepare signs and cabinets for painting and finishing.
• Sand, scuff, clean, and prep surfaces for production.
• Apply and sand fillers as needed.
• File and finish fabricated components.
• Move materials throughout the production area.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace.
• Operate hand tools, sanders, and material-handling equipment safely.
• Help ensure every product meets quality expectations before paint and final assembly.

As a Sander, you'll prepare signs, cabinets, and sign faces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and finishing surfaces to meet Allen Industries' quality standards. Your work helps ensure every product leaves our facility looking its absolute best.
