Qualifications

• Low-level systems programming experience in Linux
• Proficiency in at least one systems language (Rust/C/C++/Go)
• Experience with virtualization or container isolation tech
• Understanding of Linux namespaces and cgroups
• Experience profiling and debugging system-level performance
• Able to learn new codebases quickly and ship practical solutions
• Strong communication and reliability in team settings

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate sandboxing infrastructure at scale
• Improve sandbox startup time, density, and throughput with snapshots and pre-warmed pools
• Strengthen isolation across compute, filesystem, and network
• Investigate and fix performance, reliability, and security issues at kernel/hypervisor/container levels
• Build monitoring, tracing, and debugging tools for sandbox workloads
• Support reinforcement learning environments and isolated execution
• Expose sandboxes as a dependable capability for Claude products and customers
• Partner with security to threat-model, harden, and respond to abuse scenarios
• Collaborate with cloud providers on hardware and platform features
• Share knowledge and help set technical standards for the team
