Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is seeking a Sandblaster/Sandblast Operator to perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation on metal and other materials. You will operate blasting equipment safely, remove rust and contaminants, and ensure surfaces meet prep requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience in sandblasting, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial painting is a plus.
• Must be able to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Able to use measuring and inspection tools.
• Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting and abrasive blasting equipment safely and efficiently.
• Prepare surfaces by removing rust, paint, mill scale, and other contaminants.
• Inspect workpieces and verify surface preparation requirements are met.
• Select appropriate blasting media, equipment settings, and protective gear.
• Perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow work instructions, quality standards, and production schedules.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repair of production equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 6S principles.
• Document work progress in CMMS and communicate work status to business partners.
• Other duties as assigned
