Job summary

Valence in Lawrence, MA is seeking a diligent technician to operate surface finishing machines and determine the appropriate equipment to meet customer specifications. The role involves supporting production by solving issues and coordinating with teams to ensure on-time completion.

You will perform daily measurements, run test specimens, and prepare products for delivery while maintaining safe shop practices.

Qualifications

• Experience operating industrial machines and adjusting settings according to specs.
• Ability to read and interpret customer requirements and production instructions.

• Anticipate and overcome production related problems, material shortages, equipment malfunctions, and unavoidable delays where possible and plan to reduce their impact on the operation.
• Perform daily tests to determine size and shape of media.
• Run test specimens and provide to customer as required.
• Coordinate company projects and programs designed to support different initiatives.
• Communicate with customer service on recovery dates and expected completion dates for processing.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machines and submit maintenance requests for further maintenance work.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
