Job summary

Doncasters in Groton, Connecticut is seeking a Sandblast Operator to maintain surface finishes on a variety of castings in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Under limited supervision, you will load parts, operate sandblasting equipment, perform minor maintenance, and report defects while meeting production goals.

This role requires high school or technical school training and 1–3 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• High school and/or technical school completion.
• 1-3 Years in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic shop math skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate sandblasting equipment to process a wide variety of castings per procedures.
• Load and unload parts, remove surface contaminants, and apply the required surface finish while maintaining production and quality standards.
• Perform routine minor maintenance, including nozzle changes and basic equipment upkeep.
• Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, and unusual operating conditions to supervisors.
• Work independently using daily shipping plans and production priorities to support daily goals.
