Job summary

Silvi Materials in West Creek, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our sand plant. The role involves operating heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with mining and loading duties. Shift is generally 9:00 pm–5:30 am with potential 12-hour variations based on workload.

Qualifications

• At least one year operating heavy equipment.
• Welding experience is a plus, MIG/Stick/Overhead.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily heavy equipment walk-around inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Operate sand mine equipment and assist with general maintenance around all areas of the mine.
• Load sand onto trucks or railcars and ensure loads are correct and contained.
• Respond to workload demands, maintain safety regulations, and work overtime as needed.
