Job summary

Silvi Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Sand Plant in West Creek, NJ. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot heavy equipment, and support our mining operations.

The role requires reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Qualified candidates typically have 1+ year of heavy equipment experience, plus technical school training in welding, electrical, or maintenance.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License.
• At least one year operating heavy equipment required.
• Can work 2 p.m. - 10 p.m. shift or as needed.
• Can work Saturdays as needed.
• Prior experience running a dredge highly preferred.
• Welding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Clear, grub, strip and backfill materials at a quarry.
• Construct berms, excavate and grade to final grade.
• Load sand and small stone to trucks or trains.
• Perform daily heavy equipment walk‑around inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Handle general maintenance and labor when not operating equipment.
