Job summary

Silvi Materials is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our Sand Plant in West Creek, NJ. The role involves operating heavy equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with plant upkeep. A strong mechanical background and the ability to work 9:00 pm–5:30 am (3rd shift) are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment is required (at least one year).
• Welding experience with MIG or stick is a plus.
• Technical school background in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily preventive maintenance and walk‑around inspections.
• Operate sand mine equipment and assist with general maintenance.
• Work to complete assignments with urgency and ownership, including overtime as needed.
• Follow safety regulations (OSHA/MSHA) and keep work areas clean.
