Job summary

National Audubon Society in Naples, FL is seeking an on-site, full-time Associate, Facilities. The role centers on maintaining the 2.25‑mile boardwalk, buildings, and fleet equipment, with maintenance tasks across campus and field sites.

You will supervise volunteers, coordinate with staff, and ensure safety while performing carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work. Travel to off-campus sites is required weekly/monthly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in facilities management or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 1–2 years of related work experience; 3–5 years carpentry preferred.
• Experience with boardwalks, docks, rough carpentry and substructure repairs.
• Experience with carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing.
• Experience coordinating with volunteers and using MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Blair Audubon Center boardwalk and grounds year-round.
• Update work orders and perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Repair and service buildings, fleet, and equipment.
• Operate heavy and small equipment as needed.
• Supervise volunteers and assist with events and safety compliance.
