Northern Trust is seeking an Associate Consultant, Compliance to join a global team dedicated to ensuring sanctions compliance and regulatory adherence. The role involves reviewing sanction-related wire transactions, quality controlling screening processes, and advising partners on applicable laws and standards.

The team works to identify sanctions risks, collaborate on projects, and communicate program updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience with AML/sanctions or risk management in banking.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt to changing environments.

Responsibilities

• Review escalated sanction wire transactions for OFAC and other programs.
• Perform quality control of sanction screening processes.
• Advise business partners on sanctions compliance and regulatory updates.
• Identify sanctions risks in Company activities.
• Collaborate on projects and manage basic tasks.
• Consult with management on complex investigations.
• Operate independently with in-depth financial crime knowledge.
