About the Team: Our Global Legal Compliance team provides key support to our innovative initiatives, state‑of‑the‑art products, and integrated platforms servicing our global markets. We help our technological and business teams enable their vision by providing integrated legal and compliance guidance and support. Our teams are growing fast and are seeking a highly experienced, bright, and capable legal/compliance specialist to join us.

  • Support existing sanctions tools and systems, and ensure that company‑wide compliance programs, including sanctions name screening systems and Know Your Customer (KYC) and other onboarding programs, are implemented globally with effective monitoring.
  • Review, analyze, and assess potential issues identified by sanctions systems and provide actionable and immediate compliance recommendations.
  • Work with cross‑functional and product groups in support of customer onboarding and transaction screening programs.
  • Assist in compliance investigations in support of sanctions and other compliance issues.
  • Conduct or assist in periodic risk assessment to identify gaps and to improve on the compliance programs, processes, and procedures.
  • Establish strong working relationships and build trust and credibility with stakeholders, influencing and supporting a culture of compliance.
  • Assist in drafting compliance operating procedures and other compliance documentation.
  • Work with technical and product solutions teams to implement enhancements to sanctions system controls.
  • Additional project and ad‑hoc work as necessary to support the Global Legal Compliance team.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Law, Risk Management, Finance, or Accounting, or equivalent is required.
  • Possesses a deep understanding of the substance and nuances of compliance operations in the sanctions area, skillfully interpreting and applying compliance concepts to effectively handle various legal compliance matters, including in ambiguous situations; takes on a leadership role in addressing complex compliance topics, where warranted, exhibiting a high level of autonomy and responsibility; considers both business and legal implications of advice with a well‑attuned understanding of risk.
  • Demonstrated experience in the tech industry. In particular, specific experience with sanctions compliance products and toolings. Law enforcement investigation experience is a plus.
  • Possess the highest standard of ethics and a positive attitude towards learning and willing to pick up new knowledge and skills.
  • A confident self‑starter with strong interpersonal and organizational skills, yet with a creative mind, and demonstrate the ability to effectively and proactively exercise good judgment and partner with the business in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Willing to be available for meetings that are scheduled before or after home time zone normal business hours.
  • Willing to travel.

【For Pay Transparency】 Compensation Description (Annually) - Washington, DC

  • Base salary range: $109,440 – $198,360 annually.
  • Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, and location.
  • Employees have day‑one access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with company match, paid parental leave, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, among others.
  • Employees also receive 10 paid holidays per year, 10 paid sick days per year, and 17 days of Paid Personal Time (prorated upon hire with increasing accruals by tenure).
