Job summary

Remitly is seeking a Program Manager, Sanctions Compliance to lead a global sanctions program, translating regulatory requirements into structured workplans and owning remediation initiatives across multiple workstreams. The role demands expert interpretation of sanctions rules and proactive risk management within a fast-paced tech finance environment.

Qualifications

4–6 years in sanctions compliance at a financial institution, MSB, regulatory body, or consulting firm.
Knowledge of global sanctions regimes across main markets in EMEA and APAC.
Ability to issue well‑reasoned, documented dispositions on novel or time‑sensitive patterns without supervision.

Responsibilities

Serve as the subject matter authority for sanctions queries across global teams and drive completion of structured workplans.
Prepare executive‑facing materials and stand in for the Global Head of Sanctions in meetings.
Lead remediation projects, maintain remediation language and due dates, and ensure audit trails.
Act as liaison to Controls Testing and Internal Audit, tracking findings to closure.
