Honeywell Technologies in Washington, DC or Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant General Counsel for Sanctions Compliance. You will advise on U.S.

sanctions and AML regulations, guide licensing and risk assessments, and partner with Export, AML, and CFIUS teams to grow the business while maintaining compliance. The ideal candidate has a JD, 6+ years in a law department, and strong knowledge of trade regulations and Compliance IT (SAP, GTS, Salesforce).

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in a law department or similar setting.
• Strong expertise in U.S. sanctions and AML regulations.
• Familiarity with Compliance IT and ERP/SAP/GTS/Salesforce.
• Excellent communication and ethical integrity.
• Ability to navigate multi-national regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and manage sanctions and AML risks to enable sustainable growth.
• Advise on high-risk transactions and licensing processes.
• Enhance trade controls, screening protocols and policy procedures.
• Stay updated on regulatory developments and communicate impacts.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with vendors and counsel.
• Assist in testing, audits, and risk assessments for the program.
• Develop trainings on sanctions and AML for internal stakeholders.
• Support investigations into sanctions and AML matters.
