Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of sanctions advisory experience at a global financial institution or government agency.
  • Substantive knowledge of US OFAC sanctions; experience advising stakeholders on sanctions risks and controls.
  • Strong written and oral communication; ability to deliver clear recommendations under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on sanctions matters with business, operations, and technology teams, including funds transfers, securities trades, complex transactions and investment banking deals.
  • Undertake assessments and investigations of sanctions matters; prepare regulatory reports and internal disclosures as needed.
  • Advise on sanctions regulations related to key controls within the sanctions compliance framework.
  • Assist in managing regulatory and internal audit exams; engage with OFAC and other government agencies as necessary.
  • Ensure metrics, deadlines, and record-keeping obligations are met by sanctions management.
  • Contribute to sanctions-specific and FCC governance forums; deliver sanctions training to Goldman Sachs employees.
