Paycom - ATS is seeking a pantry cook to join our kitchen team in California. You will set up stations, prepare dishes, and ensure accurate labeling and safe storage of items.

Work in a fast-paced environment, following all health and safety guidelines while collaborating with teammates to deliver quality meals. Ideal candidates have 1+ year of kitchen experience, knowledge of ingredients, and knife maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or higher preferred.
• 1+ year experience in a high-paced kitchen environment.

Responsabilités

The ideal candidate will preform kitchen tasks such as preparing and portioning fresh dishes daily. A great pantry cook will be quick and diligent and willing to improve on the job. You will be deft and able to follow instructions as well as all health and safety rules in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will also be able to function in a fast-paced, busy environment as a part of a team.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESSet up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for servicePrepare a variety of foods including various side dishesPrepare sauces and garnishesCover, label, date, and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling proceduresInform chef in advance of likely shortagesCheck food plating, temperature, and portions for all dishesSterilize kitchen equipment at the end of your shiftMonitor stock and place orders, as neededSet up sanitizer buckets and towels for stationTemperature checks for all coolersSet up rubber floor mats at stationTastings with team membersDisinfect prep surface areasSweep and mop designated areasSweep and mop walk in cooler and dry storage areaEnsure all products are labeled correctly in the walk-in coolerOther duties as assignedEDUCATION & EXPERIENCEHigh School/GED or higher education preferred1+ year(s) of experience in high-paced kitchen environment preferredKnowledge in various cooking ingredients preferredMust know how to clean, sharpen, maintain kitchen knivesFamiliar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferredSKILLS & ABILITIESThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance; and stoop or kneel.
