KGTV, the ABC affiliate of The E.W. Scripps Company in San Diego, seeks a skilled Meteorologist to analyze meteorological data and deliver accurate forecasts for TV, radio, and digital platforms. You’ll engage viewers with on-air weathercasts and urgent updates to keep the community informed.

The role emphasizes data analysis, live reporting from events, and collaboration with photojournalists to produce compelling weather stories across media channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Meteorology required.
• 3+ years on-air weather broadcasting experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with proof of insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver daily weathercasts using all available weather data and graphics.
• Deliver urgent weather updates interrupting programming as needed.
• Provide weather and traffic reports across TV, radio and digital platforms.
