Scripps Media, Inc. is seeking a weather forecaster in San Diego to produce and present daily weathercasts across TV, radio, and online platforms. You will use weather data and graphics, report live from events, and deliver urgent updates as needed. This role requires strong writing, editing, and on-air presentation skills.

The position supports multiple media channels, with opportunities to contribute reports and weather content across platforms in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Formación

• Bachelors degree in Meteorology preferred.
• Generally 3+ years experience in related field preferred.
• Valid driver's license with proof of insurance with company required limits.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and deliver daily weathercasts using weather data and graphics.
• Deliver urgent weather updates interrupting regular programming as needed.
• Report live from events or mobile broadcast units.
• Write and produce weather stories for multiple platforms on deadline.
• Gather and verify factual information through interviews and research.
